Forecast Lighting was founded in Southern California in the early 1970's. From the very beginning, Forecast focused on developing contemporary lighting designs that were distinctive from the competition. These designs were generated by constantly seeking customer feedback as well as a careful analysis of the trends of the day in home décor.

In 1992, Lightolier acquired Forecast and relocated the company to our current headquarters in Elgin, IL. Our customer service, sales and warehousing remains in Elgin today. We also operate a trade only showroom in the Dallas Market Center.

Four decades after our founding, Forecast continues to build on our unique legacy as a customer focused brand delivering exceptionally well styled products at attractive prices. We have also pioneered many breakthrough concepts, from coordinated glass to entirely new ways to illuminate bath spaces. Our in house design team travels the world to identify materials and trends that we can bring to light, and we are proud to say that a Forecast fixture clearly stands out in a crowded, often “me- too” marketplace.

Today, Forecast markets our products in both the residentially focused lighting showroom market, as well as the commercial specification segment. We offer a wide range of products for both interior as well as exterior applications, including many Energy Smart options. In the past four years, we have introduced over 650 new products!
